Merry Christmas: Nadya Suleman poses with ten of her children for a picture to go on the family Christmas card

Couldn't they fit all of the children in the picture?

Nadya Suleman, aka Octomom, only manages to squeeze ten of her fourteen children into the frame for the family portrait picture which will be used for this year's Suleman family Christmas card.

In the picture, Nadya, 35, sits centre stage in a revealing red vest top surrounded by some of her children wearing festive Santa hats, with a stuffed donkey and a Christmas tree in the background.

Although the single mother appears the picture of festive happiness, things are not as rosy as they may appear in the Suleman household.

The multi-mother has been ordered to pay a $450,000 balloon payment for the mortgage on her La Habra, California house before December 31 or she risks being evicted from the property.

The jobless Suleman has been frantically trying to raise the cash needed to save her house through charging for public appearances and even holding a yard sale to sell off some of her belongings.

Nadya gave birth to octuplets in January 2009 after already having six children at home.

The babies were only the second set of octuplets in the United States to be born alive.

Since the birth of the babies, which made news headline across the globe, Nadya has become a personality, appearing on various chat shows and in magazine interviews talking about her controversial family.

Suleman has also recently revealed she is filming a reality show following her hectic life as a single mother of 14.

Candid interview: The ex-girlfriend of Matt Cardle has spoken for the first time about her relationship with the X Factor favourite

The former girlfriend of X Factor winner Matt Cardle accused him yesterday of breaking her heart by dumping her as soon as he began to find success.

Lauren Cutmore said she had supported him by working 70 hours a week as a barmaid and even sent the programme makers a video of his performance which started his route to victory.

But after ten days in the show’s ‘boot camp’, he phoned her to say: ‘I’m so busy, I can’t do this.’

‘I was absolutely gutted,’ she said. ‘I felt like I had put so much into this relationship when he was struggling. It seemed like he had got a better life and thought, “I don’t need you any more”.’

Miss Cutmore, 24, now a trainee accountant, said the couple first kissed when she was 15 and Cardle was an 18-year-old ‘scruffy skater boy with dreadlocks’ in their home town of Halstead, Essex.

She said: ‘He was so sweet and lovely, we hit it off straight away. But when he found out I was 15 he didn’t want to go out with me.’

In January 2009, when she was engaged to businessman Dan Jones, Cardle began working in the same pub.

‘After an afternoon shift we sat down and he basically told me he loved me. I realised I felt something too, and if there were doubts in my mind I couldn’t stay with Dan.’

After a few months Cardle moved into her father’s house rent-free as he played local gigs with two bands and she worked in the pub.

Miss Cutmore and her friends sent a video of him performing in a pub to the show’s website, and producers called back to invite him to a live audition in March 2009.

Gutted: Now ex-girlfriend Lauren Cutmore supported Matt Cardle on his first audition on August 28. He phoned her from 'boot camp' to say it was over

‘We went to London together and it was a great day. You could tell they thought he would go far.’

After sailing through the judges’ audition, Cardle was through to the boot camp stage and left for London where he suddenly cut off contact with his girlfriend of 14 months.

In July, Cardle returned and they got briefly back together, but he left four days later to rejoin the show, sending her a text message saying: ‘I’m sorry, I can’t do this.’ She said:

That’s when I realised he was going to keep picking me up and putting me down again. He was completely using me. I rang him and he wouldn’t answer the phone.

‘I’ve seen him once since then, and I regret ever starting a relationship with him.’
Despite the hurt Cardle has inflicted, Miss Cutmore said she still cheered him on to win the programme on Sunday night. She added: ‘It was amazing, and really emotional. I had a little cry.’

Despite his vow of celibacy, the X Factor winner says he really enjoyed his duet with Rihanna (right). 'I thought we were about to snog,' he admitted

Last night, a spokesman for 27-year-old Cardle declined to comment on Miss Cutmore’s claims.

But earlier the new star vowed to refrain from relationships to concentrate on his music.

Cardle was linked with show stylist Grace Woodward during his time on the X Factor. Make-up artist Lauren Clements also claimed she had enjoyed a brief fling with the singer in his dressing room.

Cardle told the Daily Mail: ‘I honestly haven’t touched anyone since I’ve been in this competition. I’m literally focused on the music and the songs. I’m too busy.’

Asked about his relationship with Miss Woodward, 34, Cardle insisted that they had a close friendship, saying: ‘I may have given her the odd hug of support in front of people but then the next thing we’re supposed to be sleeping together. The same goes about that make-up girl.’

Despite his vow of celibacy, Cardle admitted he fancied pop star Rihanna following their duet on Saturday night. He sighed: ‘It was incredible. I thought we were about to snog!’

Rockin' around the Christmas tree: A picture of Cheryl Cole with her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh was posted up on Twitter by their PR

She's had a rotten year with her divorce from Ashley Cole and bout of malaria - but it seems the British public are losing sympathy with X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.

There's a wave of criticism of the Girls Aloud star on the internet today after her charge Rebecca Ferguson lost the grand final last night to Matt Cardle, with many viewers saying she'd ignored Rebecca for weeks in favour of Katie Waissel and Cher.

Posting on popular internet television forum Digital Spy, a poster using the name 'jlay' spoke for many when she wrote: 'If Cheryl had bothered about Rebecca when Cher and Katie were still in she may well have won.'

In fact, the backlash can probably be pinpointed to Cheryl's decision to put Cher and Katie into her final three rather than Gamu Nhengu.

Other viewers have branded her 'smug', 'detached' and 'over-emotional'.

Digital Spy user Milton Blake said that Rebecca lost because Cheryl wouldn't lower herself to be on Twitter.

Walk this way: Nicola, Cheryl and Louis leave the X Factor studios for the last time this year

He sniped: 'Cheryl is aloof, seemingly unreachable. Twitter gives Danni the illusion of being reachable.'

Anactoria agreed, saying: 'I actually think the #teamminogue thing took off a bit this year, far more than #teamcheryl' while Ladyhonestswag chipped in: 'Poor Cheryl, things still ain't looking up for her are they?'

Friends: Nicola, seen here leaving Cheryl's X Factor after party, was wearing a chic mushroom-coloured frilled jumpsuit, whereas Cheryl, also on her way home here, was in a stunning mulled wine coloured fitted frock

Another poster wrote: 'She showed herself up to be a smug madame and a totally unsuitable judge.

'I quite liked her music before for what it was, and did not really mind her as a person either way, but I've gone completely off her based on her behavior and smarm with Simon Cowell during this series of XF.'

Alwaysbeenyou observed: 'Audiences always need someone to hate. The past two years, Cheryl has been adored and Dannii has faced the audience claws.

'It's turned around this year. And people seem to be hating on Cheryl for no reason at all.'

In fact, Cheryl was almost in tears last night when her last X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson failed the win the competition - but Cheryl was given a massive boost afterwards by her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.

Commiserations: Louis Walsh gives Cheryl a conciliatory peck as they leave the X Factor studios

Nicole and Kimberley, who had been in the audience for last night's nail-biting final, rushed backstage as soon as it had been announced Matt Cardle had won to console Cheryl with an aftershow party.

Armed with bottles of white wine, the trio had an impromptu Christmas party in Cheryl's backstage dressing room, accompanied by the band's PR - and gave their judge and mentor mate masses of hugs.

He took a pic of the ladies once they'd put a smile back on Cheryl's face and posted it up on his Twitter account.

Cheryl had been left gutted after she failed to win the X Factor final for the first time in three years.

Magic moment: Matt Cardle gets a hug from Rebecca Ferguson after the announcement that he's beaten her to win the X Factor, as Cheryl gives winning mentor Dannii Minogue a congratulatory cuddle

She first won with Alexandra Burke in 2008 then again with Joe McElderry in 2009, but rival mentor Dannii Minogue triumphed this year with Matt Cardle.

During the girl's night out in Cheryl's dressing room, the trio raised a glass to Kimberley, who could be the first member of Girls Aloud to have a hit in the States.
She's apparently teamed up with R&B superstar Ne-Yo after the singer took a shine to her when she interviewed him for a new for ITV2.

Although Kimberley has put her recording career on the backburner while she concentrates on her burgeoning television career, The Sun reports she's prepared to get back into the studio for the track.

Mother's love: Cheryl's mother Joan Callaghan had also been at the X Factor finals to support her daughter

3 Words - I'm going home: Cheryl heads off in a cab looking philosophical after Rebecca failed to land the X Factor 2010 title
She'll be hoping for more success than her bandmate Nadine Coyle, who's debut album Insatiable flopped.

Nadine made the controversial decision of selling her album exclusively through Tesco supermarkets, which could be one of the reasons it achieved such disappointing sales.

But a spokesperson for the supermarket chain said they are still holding out hope that sales will pick up when she releases new single Put Your Hands Up early next year.

Meanwhile, Sarah Harding has recorded a track with dance music maestro Roger Sanchez and Nicola Roberts' hotly-tipped solo material is out next year.

Deflated: Holes in the collapsed Metrodome roof can be seen in Minneapolis after a snow storm dumped 17 inches on the city

Four people killed as gigantic winter storm rips across the upper mid-West

More than 1,600 flights cancelled as 2ft snow falls in 24 hours and temperatures plummet to -18C

Blizzard warnings across Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan

Major highways closed down due to hundreds of accidents

The giant inflatable roof above the Minneapolis Metrodome collapsed yesterday under the weight of a massive snowstorm that swept across the upper Midwest.

The 580,000lbs roof, which is made of Teflon-coated fibreglass, fell in just hours before Minnesota Vikings were due to play the New York Giants.

No one was hurt but the dramatic incident - captured on video - forced the National Football League to shift the game to Monday night at Detroit's Ford Field.

Snow covers the Minnesota Vikings football field after 17 inches of snowfall cause a tear in the teflon roof
MSFC director of facilities and engineering Steve Maki said: 'This just came very fast. It was heavily loaded, and the wind was just unbelievable.'

Bill Lester, the MSFC's executive director, added: 'There were no injuries, which we're thankful for.'

Video of the incident appeared to show something escaping from the collapse on the far side of the field.

Four people were killed and more than 1,600 flights were cancelled as the powerful winter storm roared across the upper Midwest.

The storm dumped nearly 2 feet of snow in parts of Minnesota. A blizzard warning was in effect on Sunday for parts of eastern Iowa, southeastern Wisconsin, northwestern Illinois and northern Michigan, according to the National Weather Service.

Surrounding areas, including Chicago, were under winter storm warnings. Much of Iowa was under a wind-chill advisory.

The winter weather, with blowing snow that severely limited visibility, wreaked havoc on air and road travel.

In the Chicago area, wind gusts of up to 50 mph, temperatures fell to -18C with wind chill along with up to 8 inches of snow.

More than 1,600 flights were canceled at O'Hare International Airport and more than 250 were canceled at Midway International Airport, Chicago Department of Aviation spokeswoman Karen Pride said. Both airports expected more cancellations and reported significant delays.

Major highways in several states were closed due to poor driving conditions and accidents.

Illinois State Police closed a section of Interstate 80 in the north central part of the state on Sunday after a multiple-car pileup west of Peru. An injury report wasn't immediately available.

Seven vehicles crashed on Interstate 94 west of Milwaukee, prompting authorities to close the westbound lanes.

A vehicle lost control on an ice-covered road and slammed into a tree in southeastern Wisconsin, killing 21-year-old Alejandria Abaunza of Chicago and injuring two other people inside.

In western Wisconsin, a 79-year-old man snow-blowing the end of his driveway was killed when a plow truck backed into him. The St. Croix County Sheriff's Department said Clifford Larson of Woodville died at the scene.

In Minnesota, Interstate 90 from Albert Lea to the border with South Dakota reopened Sunday afternoon after being closed on Saturday because blowing snow reduced visibility.

Minnesota state highways also reopened, although transportation officials warned that many were still snow-compacted, icy and, in numerous cases, down to a single lane.

In Iowa, Interstate 29 from the state line to Sioux Falls, South Dakota remained closed, although other portions of it and Interstate 80 reopened.

Although roads were open in Wisconsin, state officials urged drivers to stay home because blowing snow severely limited visibility.

The storm had already dropped up to 18 inches of snow in parts of northern and central Wisconsin, he said, and light snow continued Sunday.

Six people were injured Saturday when a van carrying 13 people hit a guardrail and overturned near Stanwood, Michigan, in the north-central Lower Peninsula.

Authorities said that weather played a role in the death of Douglas Munneke, 55, of St. Cloud, Minnesota.

He died of a heart attack after collapsing while he was snow-blowing his driveway Saturday.

In Indianapolis, police said a man fatally stabbed his wife, then died four blocks from his home Sunday morning when his vehicle hit a tree after he lost control on a slippery road. Police did not immediately release the names of the couple.
