She may be a wealthy actress, but Catherine Zeta-Jones still catches the New York subway - even in the midst of extremely cold weather.

The actress braved the chill to take daughter Carys, seven, on the school run today.

Both mother and daughter were bundled up in thick coats with fur-trimmed hoods to ward off the cold, with Catherine holding on tight to a cup of coffee.

The Welsh native walked with Carys to the subway , where she kept a low profile thanks to her big coat and sunglasses.

And she made sure to keep her head tucked into her collar as she and Carys rode on the train.

Meanwhile husband Michael Douglas was also out and about today, wearing a giant blue coat and a knit hat as took a walk in Central Park.

The 66-year-old recently revealed he will discover this month whether his recent cancer treatment has been successful.

Doctors have told him this type of cancer has an 80 per cent cure rate.

He said: 'It certainly has put a little perspective on mortality, obviously. But as I looked through the stats, I didn’t think of this as life and death, I just saw it as an illness to get over.

‘So I didn’t dig into the bottom of my soul to see what I could see. The level of chemo, the amount they’re giving you, combined with radiation, was the max they could do in that period of time.

'It’s amazing that they almost have to try and kill you to bring you back.’

I'm lovin' it: Jenny Frost looked like she couldn't wait to tuck into her dinner as she returned to her Liverpool hotel clutching a McDonald's


Over the next month, thousands, if not millions of us will be embarking on a post-Christmas diet or detox from fattening foods and alcohol.

And celebrities will be no exception as they pilate and army train their way back to photo shoot fitness after the festive indulgences.

But not Jenny Frost, whose craving for a fast food dinner was duly satisfied as she hit McDonalds last night.

The former pop star looked absolutely delighted with her fast food treat as she arrived back at her hotel in Liverpool.

Clutching three big bags of food, she stopped and briefly talked to a fan outside but looked like she was in a hurry to eat her takeaway dinner.

Not that the ex-Atomic Kitten star should be too concerned about piling on the pounds from the calorific meal with her slender frame.

And her current job will also help to work off those Golden Arches pounds.

Jenny, 32, is currently part of the celebrity line-up taking part in the new Channel 4 live action sports show Famous And Fearless.

Live every night this week from Liverpool's Echo Arena, Jenny and seven other celebrities are taking part in a series of urban action sports, including BMX and inline speed skating, power bocking, street luge and dirt buggy racing.

Hosted by Chris Evans, a separate challenge for the men's and the women's teams will decide which member from each team will go ahead to a live final event.

They are taking on Sir Richard Branson's son Sam, New Zealand rugby legend Jonah Lomu, comedian Rufus Hound and adventurer Charley Boorman on the boys' team.

She's got the need for speed! Kelly Brook steps out in an all-leather outfit, similar to the ones worn by motorbike riders


Kelly Brook looked as though she was ready for a motorbike ride as she stepped out today wearing an all-leather ouftit.

The 31-year-old model donned a pair of leather trousers, black and brown boots and padded leather black jacket as she visited friends in a small Kent village near her home.

Smiling for photographers, Kelly appeared unaware that she looked as though she was ready to hitch a ride on a Harley Davidson on her day out.

But despite her slightly unconventional outfit, the model-turned-actress appeared in good spirits as she braved the cold weather.

Kelly recently returned from a break in the Maldives where she had been holidaying with ex-boyfriend Danny Cipriani, sparking rumours the pair are back together.

However, she is said to be finding it difficult to choose between Danny and rugby player Thom Evans, who she was also romantically linked to last year.

A source said: 'Kelly likes both Thom and Danny which is awkward as they have played rugby together.

‘She was trying to play down her holiday with Danny as she believes she has unfinished business with Thom.’

But a spokesperson for Kelly insisted she and Danny were not back together, adding they 'remain good friends'

It's no wonder Kelly is trying to decide between the affections of two men, judging by her stunning appearance today.

As well as modelling nude on the cover of Love magazine, Kelly has also posed in the pages of Playboy magazine.

But she recently revealed she doesn't have to maintain a steady exercise regime to keep looking svelte and slim.

She said: 'I don't really like diets. When I was in New York I did loads of walking and running and I love Pilates but I don't work out tons.'

Kelly also admitted she recently tried the macrobiotic diet, a kind of vegetarian diet favoured by stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, but didn't have much luck.

She said: 'It improved my energy levels but also, ironically, made me put on weight. Eventually the strict nature of the diet bored me - I love my food too much.

'Now, I don't deprive myself of anything. I'm not a skinny girl but, luckily, it goes to all the right places. I'm 5ft 8in and a size 10.'

Katie Holmes has revealed that her daughter Suri Cruise is already quite the fashion critic.

The former Dawson's Creek star - who is married to Tom Cruise - admitted that she turns to her stylish four-year-old for wardrobe advice.

'She'll really tell me [what she thinks],' she said

'Like today I'm wearing brown suede pants, and she said, "I don't like your pants." But then she'll say, "You've got to wear these shoes." Or "That's so pretty, Mom. Wear that."'

'She's got a great eye.'

And the little fashionista certainly knows what she likes for her own wardrobe. "The other day we came out of a store, and she said, 'I want to go there,' pointing at another store quite a distance away," Holmes continued.

'In that store was the dress that she wanted. I said, "Wow, Suri. You're something. You picked that out from a football field away."'

Paris Hilton swapped nightclubs for the great outdoors on an adventure holiday with her new boyfriend.

The 29-year-old reality TV star was spotted flying though the air on a zip-line while on a break in Mexico with her boyfriend Cy Waits.

Dressed casually in jeans, long sleeved T-shirts and trainers, both Paris and Cy, 34, appeared to be enjoying their outward bound experience as they flew through the air 50 feet above the ground strapped onto a wire by a harness.

The couple took part in the experience at the Wild Canyon Park near Cabo San Lucas, where they were enjoying a beach holiday over the New Year.

Things are clearly good between the pair, who couldn't seem to keep their hands off each other as they hiked up the hill to the top before zip-lining down.

The pair hugged and wrapped their arms around each other as they climbed the steps and at one point Cy even gave his girlfriend of eight months a helping hand by pushing her up the steps from behind.

They spent a couple of hours at the centre before heading back to their resort.
Cy even carried an exhausted but happy looking Paris back to their car after the activities.

However, her mood wasn't always quite so good on the trip away.

David Beckham's matte black Porsche 911 Convertible Turbo is being sold on eBay.

The supercar, for which the sportsman paid $100,000 in 2008, before spending a further $50,000 on customising, has a current bid of $134,000.

The LA Galaxy star even had his shirt number, 23, stitched into the leather seats, as well as engraved on the steering wheel and rims to personalise the vehicle.

However, the car is being auctioned off by California car dealership Chequered Flag, after Beckham sold it a while ago.

Spokesman Neil Jaffe said: 'This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a unique supercar with unparalleled celebrity history.'

In addition to it's other standard functions, the Porsche has blacked out headlights, heated front seats, a six-disc CD changer and a built-in satellite navigation system.

Beckham and wife Victoria are a huge collector of cars, and own, to name but a few, a £300,000 Rolls Royce, which they have used to pick up the children from school before, a pair of top of the range £100,000 Porsches - a black one and a white one - a more functional Cadillac Escalade and a $40,000 off-road Jeep.

The pair are reported to be moving back to the UK with their three sons amid speculation Beckham is set to sign with Tottenham Hotspur.

However, the British team are thought to be waiting on a decision from Galaxy as to whether the proposed loan can take place.

JAN 5 Back to school: Miss Weisz with her ex-partner Darren Aronofsky and their son Henry


After spending Christmas with 007 star ­Daniel Craig, it appears Rachel Weisz has now swapped Bond for ­family bonding.

The actress, whose films include The Mummy, spent the ­festive season holed up with Craig in a £1,000-a-week cottage in ­Dorset.

But this week she was back in New York putting on a united front with her ex-partner
Darren Aronofsky as the couple took four-year-old Henry to school for the first day of the new term.

Cambridge-educated Miss Weisz, 40, announced her split from film director Aronofsky, 41, in November, although they had separated several months before.

In a joint statement, they said: ‘We remain close friends and are committed to raising our son together in New York City.’

The pair are said to be seeking joint custody of Henry.

The Daily Mail then reported Miss Weisz had become close to Craig, 42, her co-star in forthcoming thriller Dream House.

But Natalie Portman cleverly disguised any hint of her baby as she took to the stage at the People's Choice Awards last night.

The Black Swan star used the ruffles of a Jason Wu dress to camouflage her stomach, as she and No Strings Attached co-star Ashton Kutcher walked onstage to present an award.

The Israeli-American star, 29, is expecting her first child with fiancé, ballet choreographer Benjamin Millepied, in the spring.

Katy Perry was among the big winners at the People's Choice Awards in Hollywood last night as she collected two gongs.

Perry, whose infectious pop hits California Gurls and Teenage Dream dominated the charts last year, picked up trophies for favourite female artist and favourite online sensation, beating the flamboyant Lady Gaga.

The 26-year-old singer wore an eye-catching purple and white dress to the event at the Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles which she teamed with peep-toe pink heels.

Speaking to the audience, she said: 'I've had an incredible year.'

More than 44 awards were given out including one for best talk show host to comedian Conan O'Brien.
