Still smiling: Miley Cyrus smiles as she films a new movie in New Orleans on the day her TV series ended

It's the show that made her famous, so Miley Cyrus could be expected to feel at least a little pain at the end of Hannah Montana.

But there was no time for looking back for the in-demand teen, who was on the set of her new feature film as the final episode of her show aired.

Miley and her lookalike mother Tish spent the day on the set of Miley's latest movie So Undercover, which is filming in New Orleans.

The action comedy is based in a sorority house co-stars Entourage's Jeremy Piven.

Dressed in black jeans, black boots and an over-sized sweater, Miley was escorted from her trailer to the set by Tish and members of the crew.

The teenage star had her usual long and wavy hair worn down and looked fresh faced with very little make up.

She seemed in high spirits as she checked her phone and shared it with a friend on-set.

Miley, now 18, rose to super stardom on the Disney series Hannah Montana.

In the show's final episode tonight, her character, Miley Stewart was forced to make a choice between taking a coveted movie role or going to college with her best friend.

Quick wardrobe change: Miley emerged from her trailer in a checked red shirt she had been wearing a white top under her green jumper

Motherly support: Miley's mum Tish was on-set to support her daughter during filming So Undercover

In the series, which debuted in 2006, Miley played an ordinary teenage girl who secretly moonlights as pop star Hannah Montana.

Her real-life father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus, played her on-screen dad, Robby Ray Stewart.

The series spurred a hit 2009 movie and a wide variety of branded merchandise.
Last year Miley also starred in the movie The Last Song.

Textured: Justin Bieber was carefully-coiffed as he posed outside the Golden Globe Awards last night in Beverly Hills

He's famous for his brushed forward moptop haircut - but Justin Bieber had done something a little different with his locks last night on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.

The teen star had thinned his fringe and gone for more texture than his usual block of hair across his forehead.

The 16-year-old Baby singer also showed off his unique sense of style be wearing a black Dolce and Gabbana tuxedo but with white-soled trainers for a cheeky take on black tie.

New do: Justin had thinned his fringe and gone for a more textured, messed up look compared to his previous heavy brushed forward look

The star also revealed, rather bizarrely, that he watched old videos of himself to get himself psyched up for his big night.

Tweeting just moments before hitting the Beverly Hills Hilton, where the awards took place, he wrote: 'Watching a bunch of the old vids. its kinda crazy'.

Teen style: The heartthrob had his own take on black tie red carpet fashion

All grown up: The star was covering the prestigious awards for NBC

The Candian heartthrob was broadcasting about the event for NBC, as well as presenting the award for the best animated movie, and in the run-up, did an interview with the station's Barbara Walters and hinted that he would be cutting for the do.

The Baby singer took to his Twitter after the glittering event to revealed that he'd even been left star stuck by the calibre of some of the actors he'd been rubbing shoulders with over the evening.

Sharp dresser: Justin, with co-presenter and True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld, was wearing a Dolce and Gabbana suit with his trademark trainers

He wrote: 'Backstage at the Golden Globes. Everyone is here. This is nuts!! Halle Berry was at my table. #badass'

The star concluded: 'De Niro is the man.'

Talking in the February issue of Vanity Fair, Justin revealed that he hadn't even wanted his trademark old haircut in the first place.

It was first envisioned and cut by stylist Vanessa Price, who worked on his debut album cover shoot a ear ago.

However, he grew to love it and now won't let anyone else but Price handle his hair.

It was also revealed that when he did the interview in December, the pair were already planning a future new ‘do', though Justin said he couldn't do anything too drastic because it was his trademark.

He also confessed he was aware of the website 'Lesbians who look like Justin Bieber,' which features women sporting Bieber hair.

Green queens: Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace, Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique L'Huillier and Elizabeth Moss in Donna Karen

The red carpet was awash in a sea of green at the Golden Globe awards last night as Hollywood's leading ladies sparkled in emerald.

Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Elizabeth Moss and Mila Kunis all opted for variations of the same shade.

It was an unusual move for Angelina, who tends to play it safe in neutral shades but the choice certainly paid off as she was one of the best dressed of the night in Atelier Versace.

Stunning: Mila Kunis turns heads in a chiffon asymmetric gown by Vera Wang

Catherine wore a regal strapless gown by Monique Lhuillier while Mad Men's Elizabeth Moss played it down in Donna Karen.

Mila Kunis, who stars alongside Natalie Portman in Black Swan, came up trumps in a stunning Vera Wang dress teamed with simple jewellery.

Luckily, there was no love lost as despite wearing the same colour, Angelina and Catherine were more than happy to pose next to each other.

With the Oscars coming up, it will be interesting to discover if green really is the new black, taking over from the now ubiquitous nude.

Looking good: Catherine Zeta Jones poses with her husband Michael Douglas on the red carpet at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles today after the actor revealed last week he had beaten cancer

A beaming Catherine Zeta Jones couldn't hide her pride as she followed her brave husband Michael Douglas down the red carpet.

'Doesn't he look better?' Catherine asked the MailOnline as they arrived at the Beverly Hilton for the Golden Globes last night, days after he announced his throat cancer appeared to have been beaten.

Douglas himself was in a happy mood, joking, 'There's gotta be an easier way to get a standing ovation,' as he took to the stage to present the award for Best Film.

His acting peers in the audience showed genuine affection as they applauded the 66-year-old.

Everything to smile about: The happy couple walk the red carpet

Earlier, Douglas had told MailOnline: 'I'm doing fine and I'm okay. I'm putting some weight back on and I have to watch what I eat'.

His recovery has been helped every inch of the way by the devotion of his wife, who looked stunning in a strapless, green, ruffled silk gown created by Monique Lhuillier.

Douglas was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor award for his role in the Wall Street sequel, although he missed out to Christian Bale in The Fighter.

Back to his old self: Douglas looked the picture of health as he took to the stage last night as he emerges from his battle with cancer, compared to a picture of him taken last October

Last week Douglas, who was diagnosed with cancer five months ago, revealed he was confident he had beaten the illness.

Speaking in his first interview since finishing chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, the veteran actor, 66, said his tumour has now vanished.

'The odds are, with the tumour gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer, that I've got it beat,' Douglas told Matt Lauer in an interview on NBC's Today show, which airs in the U.S. on Tuesday.

Doctors have warned the Wall Street star that he shouldn’t be too quick to dismiss concerns that the cancer could return.

But while he still has to undergo monthly checks, Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta Jones are said to be ‘absolutely delighted’ at the news.

Head-turner: Zeta-Jones looked stunning in a strapless, green, ruffled silk gown created by Monique Lhuillier

The Oscar-winning actor, who was given just a 50-/50 chance of surviving the stage four cancer when it was first diagnosed, is already looking forward to making the most of the rest of his life.

‘It's put a timeline on my life,' he said.

‘I'm 66 now. You know, I'm fortunate I've got a mother who's 88. She'll kill me. She may be 87. My father's 94. So, you know, I feel good about those genes.

‘But it's definitely a third act,’ he added. ‘And so you're a little more conscious of your time in how you choose to spend it.’

Glitzy: Speaking at the event, held at The Beverly Hilton hotel, Douglas revealed he is putting weight back on

After the ceremony, Douglas and Zeta Jones took in the party buzz at the Relativity Media and The Weinstein Company's bash presented by Marie Claire held at The Beverly Hilton.

'We meant to go directly from the show. For an early night but there was a party atmosphere in the air so we thought we'd check it out', Catherine admitted.

Michael welcomed well-wishers for about an hour then the couple left .'We need our bed and he needs his rest', said Catherine as she escorted her husband to a side exit.

Date night: Peter Andre and new girlfriend Elen Rivas enjoyed a romantic dinner date at an Italian restaurant in Surrey over the weekend

As Alex Reid packs up his bags and prepares for life without Katie Price he may well find comfort from her ex, who has shown there is life after the glamour model.

In fact, Peter Andre and new squeeze Elen Rivas were looking happier than ever as they enjoyed a romantic dinner date on Saturday night.

Peter, 37 and Elen, 35, dined at Italian restaurant La Capanna, in Surrey over the weekend and couldn’t take their eyes off each other.

And it seemed they were both eager to impress having made considerable effort with their appearance, despite the low-key location.

Elen, who was last night voted off Dancing on Ice, was dressed in a short leather shift dress with sky-high satin wedges and braved the cold without a jacket.

Pete, who couldn’t help but admire his date’s figure, dressed up in a shiny grey suit and a pale blue shirt.

The look of love: Peter and Elen dressed up for their date and the singer seemed to like the look of his new girlfriend as he took time to admire her figure

Lampard's former fiancée and mother of his two children was treated to first class treatment by the singer who seemed unable to keep his hands off the model and acted the perfect gentleman opening the door of the restaurant and placing a protective hand on the small of her back.

And things have been moving fast for the coupe who have only been together for a few months.

Pete and Elen - who share the same management company Can Associates - revealed earlier this month that they've been dating since November but have already introduced their children to one another in a move that reportedly infuriated Pete’s ex-Katie.

Heading for home: Peter drove Elen to and from the restaurant and the model seemed smitten with her new beau

And by the looks of things Peter couldn't take his eyes of his date last night as he admired her svelte form.

But her fine figure didn't help her skating and she was booted off the ITV show last night.

She was competing against former Neighbours star Criag McLachlan and Jennifer Metcalfe, but it was the latter who narrowly made it through to next week's show after receiving the most votes from the public.

Stunned: Elen was less than impressed with the scores she received from the judges but at least she will have Peter to comfort her

Following her performance with partner Rozycki in the skate off, Elen said: 'I think it went very well. But I'm gutted though, I'm really sad to be here.'

As the results were announced she looked noticeably upset and said she had enjoyed the process ‘very much’.

But at least she had Pete’s shoulder to cry on, and judging from these photos he will have been more than happy to comfort his new girl.

Making a statement: Also newly single, Eva Longoria wore a black fishtail creation by A-list favourite Zac Posen

The most eye-catching accessory on this year's Golden Globes red carpet wasn't a jewelled clutch or a pair of Louboutins. Instead it was the confident walk of a newly single woman.

Amongst those striding down the red carpet at the Beverly Hills Hilton in Los Angeles' blazing sunshine were a clutch of stars who have seen their marriages break down this year.

Leaving their private pain at home, last year's best actress winner Sandra Bullock, Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry and Christina Aguilera all presented a confident face to the world.

Going it alone: Christina Aguilera looked every inch the Fifties starlet in black lace Zuhair Murad

Eva, in black Zac Posen, brought along a female friend to walk the red carpet at her side, while Christina brought her new boyfriend and Scarlett, in nude Elie Saab, found a male friend to accompany her.

But brave Sandra went it alone, enjoying a laugh on the red carpet as she joked she wasn't as popular as fellow guest Justin Bieber.

'It's a different kind of killing,' she said. The actress wore a sheer silk vintage-style dress with silver beading by British designer Jenny Packham and a pair of Jimmy Choos.

On sparkling form: Sandra Bullock in Jenny Packham, and Scarlett Johansson in a pale sequinned Elie Saab gown, both stepped out as single women

Christina, who wore Zuhair Murad, was nominated for best original song for her film Burlesque. She avoided mentioning the recent break-up from her husband Jordan Bratman as she was interviewed about the movie.

But she did admit: 'I grew so much, leaps and bounds, making this film.'

Among the changes was new boyfriend Matthew Rutler, an assistant she met on set, who accompanied her to the awards.

Green was clearly the colour of the moment with two major attendees opting for emerald gowns.

Green goddess: Angelina Jolie made a colour statement in a slinky emerald Atelier Versace gown

Grand entrance: Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones also wore green, with a full Monique L'Hullier ballgown

Angelina Jolie wore a slinky embellished gown by Atelier Versace, the cowl back revealing one of her many tattoos.

She and boyfriend Brad Pitt held hands as they walked the red carpet together, barely leaving each others' sides.

Catherine Zeta Jones, who wore a dark green Monique L'Hullier ballgown, proudly accompanied husband Michael Douglas to the awards, who has recently recovered from throat cancer.

Douglas himself was in a happy mood, joking, 'There's gotta be an easier way to get a standing ovation,' as he took to the stage to present the award for Best Film.

His acting peers in the audience showed genuine affection as they applauded the 66-year-old.

Pale and very interesting: Megan Fox in Armani Prive, Michelle Williams in Valentino and Milla Jovovich

Happy couples: Nicole Kidman, nominated for Rabbit Hole, wore Prada, with her husband Keith Urban while Heidi Klum, pictured with husband Seal, wore a Seventies-inspired gown from Marc Jacobs' latest collection

One actress who did have a husband at her side was Nicole Kidman.

Nicole, dressed in a clinging white sheath which highlighted her slender frame, admitted she had worked extremely hard on her film Rabbit Hole.

But she said: 'I have a really understanding husband.'

Well-heeled: Glee's Lea Michele wore a ruffled Oscar de la Renta dress with sparkling Christian Louboutin shoes

In the nude: Modern Family's Sarah Hyland, Today correspondent Maria Menounos and The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco

Understated hair: Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad, Tilda Swinton in Jil Sanda and Dame Helen Mirren, who wore a $6m diamond necklace

Green proved a popular choice for women.

Mila Kunis, who co-starred with Natalie Portman in the psycho-sexual ballet film Black Swan, looked a vision of young beauty in a figure-hugging emerald floor length dress by Vera Wang.

Angelina Jolie kept up the theme in a sparkling full-length gown with matching earrings and ring.

The only accessory on Angelina's arm was her other half Brad Pitt.

Living the dream: Kelly Osbourne showed off tattooed arms in her Zac Posen dress, while actress Olivia Wilde, right, teamed a fairytale Marchesa gown with platform spiked heels

The dark side: TV host Giuliana Rancic, The Fighter's Melissa Leo and Dexter's Julia Stiles all wore black

Three ways with black: Julianne Hough, Halle Berry in Nina Ricci, nominated for Frankie And Alice and Jessalyn Gilsig all chose dark gowns

Another big colour trend was peach, in all its shades. Pregnant Black Swan star Natalie Portman chose a regal satin shift, draped over her bump and accessorised with a large red rose.

Although nominated for best actress Natalie said she said she hadn't prepared a speech.

'I always feel that it's tacky to be presumptuous about this stuff,' she said. But she did admit she was looking forward to meeting the stars who inspire her.

'The most exciting thing about these events is that you get to see everyone you admire,' she said.

Quirky: Helena Bonham Carter wore mismatched red and green shoes and a Vivienne Westwood dress, while Julia Kurbatova wore a blue sheath with green embroidery

Also choosing the flattering shade was Modern Family's Sarah Hyland in a nude stapless gown, Today correspondent Maria Menounos in a plunging dress and The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco in a ruffled outfit.

Lea Michele chose a peach a fairytale flouncy Oscar de la Renta gown, complete with train, while Scarlett Johannson chose an embellished diamanté Elie Saab gown in nude.

Bright scarlet also proved a popular choice, with Christina Hendricks bravely, and successfully, matching her ginger hair with Romona Keveza’s bright red gown, with ruffles around the neck.

The perfect accessory: Natalie Portman in Viktor & Rolf, with a hand-embroidered Swarovski rose and Jane Krakowski wore draped gowns over their growing baby bumps

Sparkle girl: Anne Hathaway wore a shimmering backless Armani Prive sheath as she arrived to pick up some tips for the Oscars, which she is hosting

Her Mad Men co-star January Jones teamed a plunging scarlet gown with bright red lipstick.

As the face of Versace, her dress unsurprisingly came from the Italian fashion house.
Sofia Vergara, who had worried she might not find a gown to fit over her curves, looked stunning in a figure enhancing red gown, with a plunging neckline to display her sizeable chest.

But not everyone took the fashion so seriously. Helena Bonham Carter teamed a theatrical Helena Bonham Carter dress with one red and one green shoe.

Scarlet women: Mad Men's Christina Hendricks and January Jones wore red, as well as Sofia Vergara, nominated for her role in Modern Family

Blue belles: Actress Mandy Moore, Amy Adams, nominated for The Fighter, and Hope Davis, nominated for The Special Relationship all chose inky hues for their gowns

Of course, it wasn't just women on the red carpet.

Robert Pattinson arrived to present the award for best foreign film. But he admitted to interviewer Alexa Chung that he had only seen one of the films on the list.

'They only told me yesterday which one I was doing, so I don't know,' he laughed, 'I don't know who's coming.'

Jake Gyllenhall also had a relaxed approach to the awards. With all the female guests heavily made up, he arrived with a heavy beard on his face.

'It's not for a role,' he said. 'it's just something that happens when I don't shave my face.'

All white on the night: Miss Golden Globe 2011, Gia Mantegna, Jennifer Love Hewitt in Romona Keveza, nominated for her TV show The Client List and True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld

Seeing the light: Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, Ugly Betty's Vanessa Williams and Carrie Underwood

Bring me sunshine: The Insider's Lara Spencer, food critic Katie Lee, and Kyra Sedgwick, nominated for The Closer, all wore sunset shades of yellow and orange

Making an impact: Glee star Amber Riley and Precious star Gabourey Sidibe went for sequinned gowns
