'I'm good looking, right?' Justin Bieber on life as a teen heartthrob

Good looking?Justin Bieber on the cover of the February issue of Vanity Fair
His dedicated female fans sent death threats to Selena Gomez after she was spotted kissing Justin Bieber.
So it would be no surprise if the attention had perhaps gone to the young star's head.
'Not trying to be arrogant', he said. 'But if I walked down the street and a girl saw me, she might take a look back because maybe I'm good-looking, right?
The teen singing sensation fronts the February issue of Vanity Fair, and is pictured covered in lipstick kisses.
In the accompanying article he admits that he sometimes feels the pressure of fame.
'Just the way my brain works. I'm not normal.
'I think differently. my mind is always racing. I'm just… nuts. But I think the best [musicians] probably are.'
The 16-year-old tells the magazine his mind is so active that he sometimes suffers from insomnia.
'I think about all the things I didn't have time to think about during the day- like family and God and things that should be more important...'
Who were Justin's favourite musicians growing up? 'I’m definitely influenced by Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men'
Justin also talked about the challenges of trying to be a regular teenager.
'It's hard to really balance myself. A regular kid, if he catches the flu, he just gets to go home. But I can't do that.
'Everything is important. But, you know, my sanity is important, too. Even if I'm angry, I'll just put a smile on my face and fake it.'
The superstar singer took to Twitter this morning to let his fans know about the interview: 'COVER IS OUT and a Behind the Scenes Video. Most intense interview i
ever did. here's the @vanityfairmag cover & more.'
There is no mention of Justin's friendship with Selena Gomez in the interview
As for his musical influences, forget the Beatles or the Rolling Stones.
Justin prefers black American musicians.
'I’m definitely influenced by Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men and people who were black artists—that’s what I like.'
There is no mention in the story of Selena Gomez.
Yesterday the Disney star received a string of death threats after she was pictured kissing Bieber while holidaying on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
The young stars have been coy about rumours of romance for several months, however the new pictures, which have surfaced online, seem to have confirmed their
secret relationship.
Justin's fans, who are popularly known as 'Beliebers', posted several hostile messages to the 18-year-old Wizards of Waverly Place star on Twitter.
One message read: 'Roses are red, violets are blue, @selenagomez if you'll break @justinbieber's heart I'm gonna kill you'.

Macca joins the Beach Boys: Sir Paul and Nancy Shevell relax in island paradise

I want to hold your hand: Sir Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell stroll down the beach in Anguilla during their New Year holiday
For a former Beatle on the beach, this was clearly a good day. And there was plenty of sunshine.
To escape our winter, Sir Paul McCartney and his girlfriend, American heiress Nancy Shevell, 50, have been enjoying a New Year break on the exclusive Caribbean island of Anguilla.
The pair, who have been together for more than three years, appeared blissfully happy as they walked hand-in-hand along the beach. Sir Paul - dressed in checked beach shorts - also spent time playing American football with other holidaymakers.
Arm in arm: Despite the obvious affection between the couple, aides have stressed that are not engaged and marriage is not on the cards
Miss Shevell – wearing a floral summer dress – and McCartney have been spending increasing amounts of time together in recent months.
Indeed, she recently brought her father Myron ‘Mike’ Shevell, 74 - a widowed multi-millionaire industrialist - to London to meet the music legend.
The former Beatle continues to live in England – splitting his time between his London and East Sussex homes – while Miss Shevell still resides in the U.S.
Nevertheless, she and McCartney – who has vowed to stay close to daughter Beatrice, seven - regularly travel across the world to spend time together.
Fun and games: The former Beatle shows off his throwing arm as he joined in with American football played by fellow holidaymakers
A friend of the star told the Mail recently: ‘They're really happy together. They’re very well matched. They criss-cross the Atlantic to see each other, with Nancy flying over a lot.’
The pair first met in the Hamptons, where Macca has a house. And there have long been rumours the pair were close to announcing their engagement.
However, aides have been at pains to insist the star and Miss Shevell - herself a divorcee - are not engaged.
Carefree: The couple have been dating for three years and have spent more time together in recent months than previously, despite Sir Paul's jet-setting lifestyle
‘They get on so well – but marriage isn’t an issue to them at the moment,’ the friend told the Mail.
Macca’s first wife Linda - who he wed in 1969 - died from breast cancer in 1998.
He then married model and charity campaigner Heather Mills in 2002 before their acrimonious divorce in 2006 in which she received a settlement of £24.3million.
Before marrying Linda, he also had a short-lived engagement with actress Jane Asher.
He had been dating Miss Asher since 1963 before they became engaged in December 1967. However, the relationship ended less than a year later.

Separation: Samia Smith and her husband Matthew have separated after five years of marriage
Coronation Street star Samia Smith and her husband Matthew have separated after five years of marriage.
The couple said no one else was involved in the split, which comes little over a year since the birth of their daughter.
The actress, who plays hairdresser Maria Connor in the soap, tied the knot with the property developer in September 2005.
Smith gave birth to daughter, Freya, in October 2009.
The couple said today the decision to separate was mutual and they appealed for privacy.
A statement issued on their behalf read: 'Coronation Street actress Samia Smith and her husband Matthew have today announced that they have decided to separate after five years of marriage.
Family: Samia with daughter Freya early last year
'This is a mutual decision and there is no one else involved. Samia and Matthew ask that their privacy be respected at this time for the sake of their daughter Freya.'
In an interview last summer, Samia referred to Matthew as her 'best friend', adding: 'I can talk to him about anything. He’s been my best friend ever since I met him.'
Samia also reminisced about the most romantic thing Matthew had done for her.
She said: 'The whole way through my pregnancy I was craving boiled egg and soldiers but you can’t eat runny eggs when you’re expecting.
'My first morning at home after the birth, Matt brought me breakfast in bed - boiled egg and soldiers. I just started crying. It was so romantic that he’d remembered I wanted some.'
Actress Smith, 28, first joined the Weatherfield soap in 2000 under the name Samia Ghadie.
Viewers have seen her character Maria caught up in an armed siege, masterminded by evil ex-lover Tony Gordon in recent months.

His family say the relationship is for real but gossips say it's a sham: So, is dancer Derek Hough really the right man for Cheryl Cole?
0 comments Posted by den bagus at 9:06 PMBy ALISON BOSHOFF
Real or fake? Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough take a stroll along the beach in South Africa, where the couple have been celebrating New Year
So, it appears to be official: Cheryl Cole is dating the dancer Derek Hough. They are currently enjoying their second holiday as a couple, and saw in the New Year together at a private party.
Since then they have been pictured strolling on the white sands at Camps Bay in South Africa - the closest they have ever come to looking romantic in public.
Since first being linked in February last year they have been very cautious about discussing the exact nature of their relationship.
Intimate: The pair were seen dancing at Preston Haskell's New Year's Eve party in Cape Town, South Africa
Hough tends to say with a smile: ‘I don’t know what you are talking about,’ if you ask him about Cheryl, and his family have been told to not speak on the subject.
Only last week Cheryl repeated her denials of any entanglement, telling TV chatshow host Alan Carr: ‘A lady doesn’t tell about these things.’
But friends including Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli and X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman have been saying for months that they are an item, and Hough’s ‘adoptive’ father Corky Ballas recently revealed on Twitter: ‘It’s no secret they are dating.’
Why, then, are they being so shy? Could it be that Cheryl is holding back for another reason? For it must be said that there is a strong waft of disbelief from doubters who question whether dancer Derek is, well . . . macho enough for Cheryl’s taste.
The suggestion has been made that their relationship is merely a ‘showbiz fauxmance’ one — an alleged affair conducted between friends that has the benefit of keeping them in the public eye and making both look more desirable.
Together: The pair dance together during a performance of Cheryl's single Parachute
The theory is that heartbroken Cheryl, 27, shows her ex-husband Ashley what he’s missing, while Derek, 25, gets to bolster his profile.
Certainly, suspicions have been rife in showbiz circles, led by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton who always, cruelly, files stories about Hough under the heading ‘Gay, gay, gay’.
But, as we shall see, he’s not the only one who has voiced doubts over Hough’s sexual orientation - based, it seems, on not much more than the fact that he is handsome in a pretty way, and makes his living as a dancer.
So who is Derek Hough? And what more is there to him than perfect teeth and an impossibly toned physique?
Even the greatest matchmaker would concede that he is a most unlikely partner for pugnacious
Geordie Cheryl. He is a born-into-showbiz trouper, with an extraordinarily complicated family background. He’s also a Mormon.
Born on May 17, 1985, in Salt Lake City, Derek is the son of Bruce and Marianne Hough, who’d met on a college ballroom dancing team in Idaho. After having three girls - Marabeth, Sharee and Katherine - came Derek, and then the youngest, Julianne.
Marianne had ambitions to turn her brood onto a new version of the Osmonds, and says that for several years she spent more time in her van than at home, devotedly taking all five of them to music and dance classes.
By the time he was ten, Derek was progressing in competitions in New York and Los Angeles in the field of Latin American dance, cheered on by his family.
At this point, fate took a hand. Famous dance coaches Mark ‘Corky’ Ballas and his British wife Shirley - then based in Dulwich, South London - were on a teaching trip to Utah and saw Derek and his sister, Julianne.
Spotted: One of the first pictures of Derek at Cheryl's hotel last year
They believed the Houghs were ‘incredibly talented children’ and offered coaching. At around this time, Bruce - now an elected member of Utah’s Republican National Committee - and Marianne Hough were separating. Derek asked Shirley Ballas if he could stay with her and study for a few months to escape the dramas at home.
Three months later, Julianne followed her brother across the Atlantic, and together with the Ballases’ son, Mark, they attended the famous Italia Conti Stage School in London.
Certainly, his ballroom dancing was outstanding. Under Shirley’s wing he won all the major titles in the junior and youth divisions, travelling the world to do so.
After a variety of dancing roles on the West End stage, Derek got his first chance in television thanks to Bruno Tonioli, who asked him to work as a choreographer on the BBC show Dance X - and he proved a natural.
Showmance? The pair have kept very quiet about the status of their relationship
A holiday in Tanzania followed in the summer (during which Cheryl, alas, caught malaria) and in the months since, there’s no doubt the couple have grown closer. But in what capacity?
Derek’s stepfather, Aaron Nelson, insists: ‘For Derek, this is true love. There is no doubt about it and it’s easy to see why - she is one hell of a girl. Very talented and incredibly beautiful. She is the girl of his dreams.’
It’s no wonder everyone is so thrilled for Cheryl. Following the humiliation she suffered with
Ashley Cole and his pay-as-you-go phone habits, she deserves happiness.
But is Derek the right sort of man to mend her broken heart?

Glowing: Amanda Holden put a protective hand on her baby bump - but kept it under wraps - as she arrived for Britain's Got Talent auditions
She's finally able to be open about her pregnancy after months of secrecy.
But Amanda Holden declined to give fans a glimpse of her baby bump as she arrived for the first auditions for the new series of Britain's Got Talent in London today.
The 39-year-old, who revealed she is expecting a baby boy in March, covered up her burgeoning belly in a fuchsia coat with a giant bow strategically placed at her midriff.
Showing pregnancy isn't affecting her passion for fashion, Holden teetered in a pair of towering patent Mary Jane heels and carried a baby pink quilted Chanel handbag.
Writing on her Twitter ahead of the auditions at the Hammersmith Apollo, Holden revealed new judge David Hasselhoff would not be joining her on the panel and Louis Walsh would be covering for the ex-Baywatch star.
She said: 'Getting ready for BGT! Stomach churning! Micheal and Louis today. Think The Hoff is still "giving his Hook".'
Congratulations: Holden receives a congratulatory kiss from a fan as she arrives at the Hammersmith Apollo
Once inside, she Tweeted: 'Five mins until we're on stage! Micheal is pacing, I'm eating and Louis is checking his quiff.'
New judge, comedian McIntyre was given a huge welcome by the thousands of auditionees queuing outside, who chanted his name as he entered the building.
Despite expecting to give birth to her second child in March, Holden insisted it would not affect her work commitments for Britain's Got Talent and starring in the new West End production of Shrek: The Musical.
Holden will play Princess Fiona at Drury Lane when the show opens in May.

The former Cutting It star will film the Britain's Got Talent Series 5 auditions over the next weeks, before returning to the judging panel in late May in time for the live shows.
The blonde TV star announced on Sunday that she and husband Chris Hughes, 37, were expecting their second child together.
She explained she waited so long to announce her pregnancy after she tragically suffered a miscarriage last year.

The couple, who married in December 2008, are already parents to daughter Alexa, aka Lexi, who turns five later this month.
Writing on her Twitter page on Sunday, she said: 'Just to let you know. I am 6 months pregnant with a baby boy!! Have had to keep it quiet until now!'
In a statement on her official website, Holden revealed her secret heartbreak last year after losing her unborn child.
Doting mother: Holden with her daughter Lexi, who turns five this month
It read: 'Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes are delighted to announce that Amanda is 6 months pregnant with their second child.
'Their delight is increased by the fact that last year she tragically lost a baby.
'As they are sure everyone will understand they needed to get the all clear from the doctor before they shared their very happy news.'
In an interview last year, Holden admitted she had started getting broody.
She said: 'I'd love to have more children. I'm 39 so I'd be very lucky, I've got lots of friends who have waited too long. If it happens it happens. But I'm blessed with one.'
The former Cutting It actress married music executive Hughes at Babington House in Somerset in December 2008 after a five year courtship.
The couple announced their engagement in December 2004, but delayed their wedding after Holden fell pregnant with Alexa, who was born in January 2006.

0 comments Posted by den bagus at 6:55 AMBy DAILY MAIL REPORTER
Telling all: Victoria Beckham recalls a morning husband David looked like 'c**p' in the new issue of Vogue magazine
Victoria Beckham has been unwavering in her love and devotion for husband David after 11 years of marriage.
But despite his athletic figure and metrosexual appearance, the former Spice Girl admits even he has his off days.
Just months after Posh declared her husband looked 'naturally good all the time', she appears to have changed her mind.
In a new interview with the UK edition of Vogue magazine, the 36-year-old spoke frankly about her husband of 11 years.
Speaking in the February issue of Vogue - her sixth Vogue cover - she said: 'The other morning I looked across at David just after he'd woken up and thought you look really c**p.
'Thank God, because this is a man who always looked so perfect.'
Her remarks were in stark contrast to an interview she gave to Marie Claire magazine in October.
Shifting power balance: Victoria, pictured at Los Angeles airport last week, admitted their marriage is evolving
She said at the time: 'He just naturally looks good all the time. He never looks like s*** in the morning. Never.
‘So he’s sitting there sending his e-mails, all ripped. Not an ounce of fat on him.
And I thought, you done good, girl. I sure wasn’t thinking of his high-pitched voice.'
Victoria's appearance in Vogue is the sixth time she's appeared on the cover of the magazine.
Was it his new haircut? David Beckham's, pictured in London at Christmas, new style hasn't gone down well with fans
She's already graced the covers of Russian, Indian, Turkish, German editions, and the British edition once before in 2008.
Also in the Vogue interview, she admits she's finally given up on her long hope for a baby girl.
She also confesses to having her breast implants removed and admits the power balance between herself and David is changing.
To find out more, visit Vogue UK's website www.vogue.co.uk.
• The full interview with Victoria is in the February 2011 issue of Vogue, on sale on Thursday 6 January.
