Her glamorous looks won over Hollywood's most popular bachelor, George Clooney.
But yesterday Elisabetta Canalis was almost unrecognisable as she stepped out without any make-up.

The 32-year-old was spotted taking her two dogs out for a walk in Los Angeles yesterday.

Wearing a tank top, shorts, and without a scrap of foundation on her face, the model looked washed out and drawn.

Of course, Canalis' enviable figure was as toned and taut as always.

Meanwhile Clooney is busy preparing for his new film Ides of March which is due to start filming in Cincinnati and Kentucky next month.

Clooney directs and stars as a Democratic governor running in the presidential primaries. The film also stars Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Paul Giamatti and Philip Seymour Hoffman..

Hundreds of extras are said to be required for the film which will shoot in over 15 locations.

Clooney and Canalis were seen enjoying the sunshine and surf in Los Cabos, Mexico earlier this month.

The actress' parents joined their daughter and her boyfriend of 18 months earlier on in their holiday, and were spotted leaving a restaurant with them.

The couple been together since 2009, when they met at a high society party in Italy, where George, 49, lives for part of the year having bought a villa near Lake Como.

His next movie is called comedy drama The Descendants, from Sideways and About Schmidt director Alexander Payne.

The actor stars alongside Beau Bridges and Judy Greer in the film which is due out in the spring.

Single man: Alex Reid was seen out today for the first time since Katie Price announced their split


He had stated that he would keep wearing his wedding ring in the hope that he and Katie Price could successfully work on their marriage.

But it seems Alex Reid has finally accepted his relationship is well and truly over, after he was spotted getting petrol while his wedding band was noticeably absent.

Looking tired and strained, the cagefighter failed to raise a smile for waiting photographers as he filled up his car and picked up the newspapers.

It's the first time Alex, who has now moved back to his parents' house, has been seen since now-estranged wife Katie announced their split in a length statement yesterday afternoon.

And while the sportsman had clearly dressed up for his first outing as officially a single man, looking smart in a blue shirt with white collar, jeans and black shoes, he couldn't hide his pain.

The bags under his eyes were clear to see, despite the fact he tried to cover his face from photographers using a paper.

Following speculation that the pair were about to announce their split, Alex wrote in his Star magazine column that he was planning to continue wearing his ring.

He wrote: 'I’m still wearing my wedding ring – maybe I’m a hopeless romantic, but there you go… I want to work on our marriage.

'Maybe I am an optimist, but I believe in doing the honourable thing.'

Meanwhile, mother-of-three Katie has yet to make her first appearance following the announcement, although she did take to her Twitter page this morning to thank fans for their support.

She wrote: 'Morning thanks for the support at this sad time!hope you have great day!its freezing outside hate getting up when its dark x'

In a statement confirming she and Alex had split after 11 months and 19 days of marriage, Katie yesterday said cagefighter Alex had changed during their relationship, and became obsessed with a 'desire to promote himself'.

When the couple started dating in July 2009 - just eight weeks after she split from first husband Peter Andre - Reid was a cagefighter and struggling actor.

Sunbathing on a beach or lying by the pool might be an ideal holiday for some, but not for Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez.

The couple barely sat still during a romantic break to Hawaii this month, keeping in shape cycling and kayaking.

In photos released today Cameron can be seen showing off her slender figure in skintight lycra as she races sports star Rodriguez along a road.

At one point Cameron comes a cropper, falling off her bike, but a fellow cyclist helps her back to her feet.

The previous day the 38-year-old actress showed off her incredibly toned body in a pair of skimpy bikini bottoms and white halter neck top as she took a kayaking trip with boyfriend Alex Rodriguez.

The actress took to the water for a jaunt on a kayak but this time it was the hired help that provided the power to navigating the waters in a red and yellow vessel.

Cameron and A-Rod were enjoying an A-list holiday alongside Naomi Campbell and her boyfriend Vladimir Doronin and were joined by Leonardo Di-Caprio and Bar Rafaeli on the Hawaiian trip.

The famous friends flew into the island together on a bright yellow helicopter on January 10 and these newly-released pictures give an insight into what some of the gang got up to.

Cameron sizzled in her red and white two piece, but struggled to contain her curves in the bright bikini bottoms and had to readjust them during the day out.

But despite Cameron’s recent claims that she exercises to maintain her figure she wasn’t putting in many strokes and it seemed that the two helpers in the boat were doing most of the work.

Even her baseball boyfriend was looking lethargic and left the paddling to the helpers on board.

Cameron plays Lenore Case in the film, a secretary who helps James Reid become a masked crime fighter after he inherits his father’s media empire.

Knocked up star Seth Rogan plays the lead role while Jay Chou and Christoph Waltz also star in the film.

In Black Swan she plays a ballet star who is replaced by a younger model.

But it seems Winona Ryder is so determined for the same thing not to happen in real life that she is prepared to suffer in the name of fashion.

The 39-year-old actress poured her tiny figure into an incredibly tight black bodice dress for an interview on Daybreak today, but appeared to be suffering as the corseted top dug into her chest.


However, ever the professional, Ryder simply pulled up the dress, which came complete with a matching bolero, and continued talking to Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles about her new films Black Swan and The Dilemma.

Ryder stars alongside Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel in Darren Aronofsky's critically-acclaimed Black Swan.

And the actress recently revealed that playing the role of a prima ballerina replaced by a younger star has a lot of similarities to pursuing a movie career as an older woman in Hollywood.

She said: 'It’s parallel to a lot of things, you know - getting older in Hollywood, getting older in the ballet world.

'The ballet world is more brutal in the sense that your career is sort of over when you’re very young and in Hollywood at least you can sort of maybe go on you know, but it’s definitely a lot of parallels.'

But Ryder certainly doesn't need to worry just yet as she is currently starring in films, including The Dilemma alongside Vince Vaughn and Kevin James.

She's not known for her fashion sense, and is frequently criticised for her scruffy outfits.

But yesterday Katie Holmes appeared to have put her style mistakes behind her as she stepped out wearing a cute pair of blue and white jeans, white silk shirt and heels as she headed to a business meeting in Los Angeles.

However, the 32-year-old should possibly have looked in the mirror before leaving the house, as she appeared to have forgotten to brush her hair - her 'bag lady' locks distracting somewhat from her overall appearance.

But Katie must have caught sight of herself at some point, as she was later spotted with her hair tied back into a ponytail.

Apart from her hair, the actress looked fresh and summery in her cute outfit.

And perhaps she is trying to be more stylish, after recently being named the new celebrity face of American clothing line Ann Taylor - following in the footsteps of Heidi Klum, Naomi Watts and Milla Jovovich.

Talking about the new role, Katie said: 'I’ve been a fan of Ann Taylor since I was a young girl. I grew up loving the clothes. I’m thrilled to be a part of a brand I believe in.

'I applaud women who are doing their best to be the best versions of themselves and who are working really hard. And I’m glad that there is a store like Ann Taylor that can offer amazing styles for the many different roles that women play.'

Katie will appear in magazine adverts for the brand, as well as marketing in Taylor's 280 shops, from March.

Following her meeting in the morning, Katie later changed into a short grey ruched miniskirt and black vest top - showing off her figure - to head to another business commitment.

Katie has been working hard on discussing potential new roles since it was announced her TV miniseries The Kennedys, in which she starred as the eponymous Jackie Kennedy, had been cancelled due to 'historical inaccuracy'.

A representative for The History Channel said they had decided to no longer broadcast the series, explaining: 'Upon completion of the production of The Kennedys, History has decided not to air the eight-part miniseries on the network.

'While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand.

'We recognise historical fiction is an important medium for storytelling and commend all the hard work and passion that has gone into the making of the series, but ultimately deem this as the right programming decision for our network.'

In an extraordinarily lengthy 600-word statement confirming the split, the 32-year-old model conceded she married the sportsman 'too quickly', adding that Alex 'changed' from the 'man I fell in love with'.

Katie issued a statement yesterday evening after Reid, 35, was photographed moving out of the couple's Surrey home and back to his parents' house in Hampshire, earlier that day.

The reality TV star admitted the couple had suffered a 'number of difficulties over the past few months', including going through in vitro fertilisation in a bid to have a child together.

Their separation comes a few weeks after they flew to a secret Indian Ocean location for a 'make or break' holiday.

Upon their return to England, the model told followers on her Twitter page that reports about her marriage being in 'crisis' were true.

Price said she and Reid planned to release a joint statement announcing their separation over the weekend, but had been persuaded to wait by her husband, who needed time to think.

But after Reid was photographed teaching her five-year-old son Junior to fight in the gym, Price changed her mind.

She said: 'I had hoped that Alex and I could remain friends but I am not sure if that is possible given events since last Sunday...

'...The intervening period has, however, seen a number of false stories appear and photographs of Alex with my son Junior in the gym which it is absolutely clear were posed for.

'Alex is fully aware that I have sought to remove my children from the public eye now they are of an age to understand and be affected by media coverage of them.'
