Lets look at the world's highest growth economy and see what their tax rates are:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_gains_tax#China
So they have a higher rate of capital gains tax than the US.
A little lower down...
Black Ops Prestige EditionI'll gladly wait 3/4 months if we get all the much needed upgrades we've been waiting for. I doubt they will release the iPhone 5 and iOS 5 separately.

apple needs to introduce a computer which is between the mac mini and the mac pro tower.
I want a mini tower, with 2 pci slots. you know something in the price range of $899-999 usd.
where i can upgrade the graphics card or order it with a better graphics card.
Some of us do not want to be tied to the imac screen/body. I love to be able to upgrade my own computer's graphics card.
Cmon apple. give us a mid tier system we can upgrade ourselves. The Macmini just doesnt cut it. virtually the only thing in that we can chance is the CPU, Memory or hard drive.
Black Ops Prestige EditionSome of you people are ****ing hilarious, and heinously hypocritical.
The same people who bash (and are still bashing) Apple for not having enough iPad2 supply (to satiate an absolutely insane demand), calling it some sort of conspiracy to create demand, are the same people now bashing Apple for procuring and guaranteeing these components ahead of time, which inevitably has had a negative effect on companies.
What the hell do you people want? Apple will clearly sell every damn iPad2 they produce, and they'll do what they need to do to produce as much as they can. Having a ton of cash reserves, and the foresight to pay for these compoenents in advance makes them an effective, and intelligent company, not monopolistic. Should Apple shoot itself in the face to please its competitors? Should any company? Unbelievable.
Black Ops Prestige EditionAt least, according to TechCrunch, it is.
Why am I not surprised there?

Speculation.
The Prestige Edition of CallNot really, this tablet looks very interesting, compared to the larger iPod Touch, oops, I mean iPad.
2010 called, they want their ill-informed snarky comment back.
Special Edition!Prices way to high.. just buy an external hard drive.. even if you bought a ridiculously expensive fireproof one it would be more practical
Yes, plugging my hard drive into my phone is much more practical than having 20 GB of music streaming to the phone with almost zero setup...

Besides if you encrypt your backup, nothing can happen. Thank you, have a good day.
Puhleeeeze. We are not concerned about your average criminal or private investigator. We are concerned about the us government, homeland security, cia, nsa, fbi, etc.
To say "nothing can happen" is absurdly naive.

Seems strange that they're not rolling this out to iDevices. I can't see them having to hand over 30% of the revenue to Apple - this looks like more of a Dropbox competitor.
Possibly Apple's launch of a competitor is imminent, and Amazon just doesn't think that they can compete on Apple's home turf?
I hope this is true. Could be quite useful.

Can you cite reliable figures for the cost advantage versus the cost to switch?
Sorry it took so long to respond to this; I assure you it took only a second to Google (this is just the first result I found):

If there's no screen size increase, and a MAJOR overhaul of iOS, then HTC Sensation here I come :)

My only dig: LTE = More $$$$
I'd rather use a solid HSPA+ device in June, than wait til September (or later) to use a device where my data plan could jump by $10.
I will only be excited for LTE if the data plans don't rise. I think it's ridiculous that every time a new cell technology comes out, cell companies raise their prices.
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8H7 Safari/6533.18.5)
I don't get the big deal about it. If you want to be anonymous, get off fb, twitter, macrumors, etc. Then cancel all Internet plans you have and your cellular plan. Then no one will ever know where you are unless you tell them.
And also make sure that you don't leave home without a heavy disguise in case you get tracked by a CCTV camera.

I like it to show up ready to go.
Plus, I know for sure the apple chosen ram will be flawless...
This is a rev. A. ;)I wasn't trying to put a digg on you, you're machine is awesome, but not everyone can put down the amount of money you did and aftermarket helps. But you're super stoked nonethelss. :D
It sort of makes you think what it would be like if Apple took a hand at other industries. This theme is absolutely fugly. Toyota basically turned the iphone into a zone.
What if the tables were turned? If Toyota can make the iphone so unappealing, then how much better would the design of a Toyota be if Apple redesigned it?
Just because you know how to design a computer user interface doesn't mean that you also know how to design a car. Cars are much more complex than computers -- all cars have computers built in, but no computer has a car built in.
Also, most of Apple's products look better than they are user friendly or work well. Their keyboards and mice are horrible, for example - every Microsoft or Logitech keyboard or mice blows the Apple competition out of the water when it comes to ergonomics. And ergonomics is something that's VERY important in a car. Apple very obviously sucks at that.
If you want a car that looks and feels like something that could have been designed by Apple, buy a Smart (Diesel). They're great and affordable city and short distance cars, I love them. The only difference is that if Apple would have designed the Smart, it would cost as much as BMW.
Is everyone missing the "Preferred" in the headline of this thread? Preferred does not me "only" or "required" or "mandatory."
We're not yet at the point where digitial distribution is a feasible option for everyone, but Apple needs to take the steps towards it now before the rest of the industry passes by.
My opposition to this isn't because I think Digital Distribution is bad (the copy of Windows 7 I'm writing this on was downloaded, legally I might add, from Microsoft), it's because of how Apple is offering it.
I was able to download a .iso of Windows and install it how I wanted to. I was able to back up the .iso to an external hard drive and also to burn a copy of it.
The App Store (unless they change things) wouldn't allow that. I would have no problem with this if Apple included a way to create a DVD or USB installer from the download.
