There are several ways to lose a patent. One way is not to defend it. Another ways is trying to defend bogus patents and have the court invalidate it.
That's true, but in this case the similarities are so close I'd hardly call it bogus.

Nobody forces you to store your music there. You can always store it on your computer if you want. Funny how you can see extra feature as a "limitation". I bet that when Apple offers similar service (just more expensive) you'll call it a "revolutionary" feature.
No one forces you now. I was talking in terms of future limitations. I was also speaking in the abstract, meaning any company to offer a service of this nature will "probably" impose some sort of restrictions to gouge money from the consumer. Again, speaking in future terms. Otherwise, what is the point of building some grand service if it has no advantage economically? Companies are out to make money.

So Steve is saying there is no database of locations? Thats just an outright lie.
I think Steve Jobs is someone who doesn't suffer idiots gladly. Note how he didn't say "there is no list of locations on people's iPhones", what he said was "we don't track anyone". The opposite of "we don't track anyone" is "Apple is tracking some people's movements". Do you have any evidence of this? Do you _believe_ it?
Just think about his statement. Then consider that 1. Steve Jobs is just slightly wiser and more intelligent than you and is more likely to have a clue what he is talking about and 2. Steve Jobs is the CEO of a major company and can't afford to lie in public.
I think Steve is outright lying about this.. I don't think most people aren't fond of this, including myself..
You are an anonymous poster on MacRumors. Steve Jobs is the CEO of a major company. You can say whatever you like. Steve Jobs can't. Plus whatever I said above.

I wonder why Apple gives a hoot? This couldn't be hurting them could it?
It makes no difference. For starters, Toyota is violating the User Agreement. That in itself is grounds for immediate rejection. Second, it sends the wrong message. You want to do business with Apple, it has to be above-board. This should be obvious.
Cute Haircuts For Medium HairThere's no way they are going to release iPad 3 in Fall after Steve said 2011 is going to be the year of iPad 2.
quot;medium length hair stylesI'm excited but disappointed at the same time.
It's nice to see some of the things they're incorporating into Leopard, and it's great to finally see a physical MacPro and read a spec sheet. You get a lot of processing power for the money, no doubt.
On the flipside -
the base video card is pretty meh. Additional HD options are ridiculously limited; you can only add 500g ones (no 250) for 2nd/3rd/4th HD. Base price on the dual 2.6 is..ok I guess. I join many others when I say I was hoping for lower cost but we'll see if they deliver a high end iMac with a Core 2 in the next few months.
Congrats to all the early adopters; I'm envious. :)
But I think the waiting game is best, even though it sucks. Then again I don't have the necessary funds so it's excusable. I'll be waiting til next year around the time Leopard launches I think and then I'll buy...mmm something. :D (Depends on what these are going for and also if we see any Core 2 iMacs.)
All in all though, way to go Apple...you've got yourself another customer. I can't wait to be able to use some of the new features in Leopard.
prom hairstyles for mediumDon't really like the theme, personally...
Spring medium length hairstyleI guess that all of Apple's current Yonah based systems will migrate over to Merom or Conroe in the next few months - I believe that Intel will be switching production over to these processors rather than Yonah quite quickly.
The MacBook will change last, IMO, say in three or four months time. MacBook Pro and iMac will get upgrades quite quickly though.

Loras turned as they walked into a room and found a lit torch in a sconce on the wall. He went to reach for it, Wilmer dove into him and they fell, rolling and cursing on the hard stone floor.
"No, you idiot, it could be a trap!" Wilmer's face was sincere.
"Get off me you damned oaf," Loras grunted as he forced Wilmer off. "You really think that if there's going to be a trap, it's going to be a torch?" He stood up, brushed himself off and grabbed the torch. Wilmer flinched.
When nothing happened, Loras widened his eyes and made a dismissive gesture toward Wilmer, who stood his ground and eyed the torch uneasily. The rest of the group followed his lead with the torch and they explored the room.
They searched through a dead-end hallway and found plenty of dust and dilapidated furniture, but there was no treasure.
Dante poked Loras. "Alright, now what smart guy?"

OK, being an Australian, and blissfully ignorant to the ways of the American, when is Thanksgiving? Before or after Paris?
I say new iPods at Paris, and maybe some software. It would be great if all Macs were Core 2 Generation before the Paris Expo.
After Paris. Nov. 23, 2006 to be exact. Too bad you Aussies don't celebrate Thanksgiving. It is all about eating, drinking and watching football.

Did you ever define who is in your group?
since no one split up, everyone is.
we are just waiting for raven or chris to tell us if we found anything in the start room, and (with the caveat above) to know what happens when we enter the next room
Prom Hairstyles Down MediumEnjoy your brand new 129$ Mac OS X latest revision (the most advanced, the most unique, the most... bla bla bla bla...) carrying more than XXX features (aka... just making the Mac OS X experience more iOS-alike so you get used to AppStore since soon you'll have to go through this method of delivery as there won't be any other one, because Mr. Jobs wants more money...)
Yep... I think that 129$ sounds quite ok, for nothing :D
Though I'm not surprise... there's nothing shocking that they can implement. This "update" is aimed at training people into AppStore (aka money)... and they even charge for it :D
I lol'd. No matter what people will complain. When Snow Leopard was released people wanted more UI changes and more features. Now when Lion is released all people want is under the hood improvements. SMH
curly prom hairstyles forAll your screens are belong to us.
hair styles colorHiDPI?
DPI = Dots per inch
PPI = Pixels per inch.
DPI is an acronym that mainly applies to the printing industry. No, your brand-shiny new ACD (seems more like BC-ACD) does not display dots. Pixels are, in fact, squares (rectangles, if you really wanna nitpick).
HiPPI is what it should be.
Is this going be another typeface/font mass misunderstanding turned commonplace?
THERE ARE NO DOTS ON YOUR SCREEN! ONLY PIXELS!
Freakin' idiots. What would your mothers say?
prom hairstyles 2011 forWouldn't it be something if Apple sold one of the first unlocked phones from the get-go.
You walk into an Apple store, they have the iPhone in GSM form.. and you get a trade-in discount for your old phone.. the Apple reps pop-out your sim card, transfer your contacts.. and hand you an ipod like phone that has all your old info in it and works with your current plan.
im pretty sure thats what steevie boy has in mind ;)
Sophos does not seem to display these characteristics. That I've noticed.
True, but just recently for example AVG Free Edition literally killed tons of Windows 7 machines due to an buggy update which caused W7 to reboot into an endless loop. The AVG team got hit by an outcry from angry and desperate users in their forum. I dont want things like that happen to my mac, i bought one to not have to bother about those issues.

This update is not good enough, apple. Do more.
8 megapixel camera with 1080P recording.
64GB option
Dual core processor
Those updates are not good enough for a device that gets an update only once a year.
Here's another one:
Stop making phones out of effing glass!
5 people I know have had shattered glass (on either the front or the back) of their iPhone 4s less than year into ownership. It's a bloody phone -- it's not a museum piece or collectible. It's going to get used, it's going to get dropped or fall off a table occasionally, and it needs to be at least minimally able to survive a 2 year contract.

If it doesn't have Lights Out Management, it isn't a server. Our datacenter doesn't even allow servers without LOM into the building, and I agree with that policy. There's more to making a server than turning it sideways and bolting it to a rack.
I'd imagine that would be in the plans.
Irrelevant. Just because I stick a Ford logo on the hood doesn't mean I can make my new Mustang look like a Porsche Carrera clone.
Industrial design is legally protected work. And should be. It doesn't matter how you price your competing product.
How many other ways are there to design a simple tablet/touch screen phone before they start looking the same?
A car has many design elements that these slate type devices don't have the luxury of.
How does having the PSU on the bottom keep it cool?...
Hot air rises, so the heat generated by the PSU will just rise and fill up the case.
Unless I'm missing something or the laws of physics have changed in recent years?
